It didn't work for me.

I put year on 2012 which didn't work, then on 2014, and it still didn't work.

Now, I'm not sure if this still works or anything because I found it on YouTube.
Person on YouTube used an IOS device.

1. Create a new Spotify account, you should get a 48 hour trial
2. Go to settings
3. Change the current year to any year you want

Pretty simple, and again, I'm not sure if it works.


I could still use a Spotify premium code.

Changed year to 2011 and didnt go to well on my Galaxy Note 2 N7105

Actually, no, it's not. You can't just change it to any year. It has to be a previous year in which the calendar dates are the same as the year you are in. The most recent year which fits this criteria is 2002. It won't work if you just change it to 2012, 2011, 2010...

It doesn't work. I tried this a couple of months ago and it said I have over 4,000 days left of my trial but at the time the trial would've ended if the date were correct, it ended anyways. Changing the date/time of your iPod could also cause website verification errors making you unable to connect to Wifi until you change it back to the correct date. (That happened to me)
