Hello.

I've tried to post 3 times and had my posts deleted. Some nice mods did reply to my complaint but I still don't understand the byzantine rules and functions of the myriad of forums topics.

I'm looking for help modding (more so than hacking) an old single player game few would be interested in. My questions:

Is this the right site? Or is this really just for modern MMO cheating?

If this is the right site, whats the correct forum?

...And was told you do not allow "recruiting". I'm sorry to be so clueless, really I am, I'm sure this is obvious to those of you who live this everyday...but what is the difference between a job offer and recruiting? This is especially confusing because I made another post, in the same forum, requesting a 3dmodeler and that post was deleted for a DIFFERENT reason..because I did not leave contact info. That was not "recruiting"????

Finally, if I were to ever find the correct forums and word my request perfectly, and even more unlikely, get a response...can I correspond with the responder through messages on this site? I don't want to immediately post email information on a website I know nothing about.

I'm sorry to be such a noob, really I am.

If you aren't looking for people to assist you in doing something, then it would fall under hack requests. You want someone to create a hack/mod.
If you want help with coding, then it would fall under the Coders Lounge, or proper language category.

Thank you very much for the reply, I did not see that sub-forum.

One wrinkle though. According to the rules....

"You may requests hacks or cheats for particular games, in the hopes that someone will share/point to working content for said game. You cannot however, sell, buy, or solicit to buy hacking content, as that is against site rules.

The game is a very old, niche single player game. I'm willing to offer compensation for the mod, as I doubt anyone would do it of their own volition. Even then I doubt I'd find anyone. Does this change the proper forum, or is that simply not allowed at all on this site anywhere?
