    My Man of Steel review

Alright before I start this off I promise you guys no spoilers.
I'd also like to point out that I don't agree at all with this movie getting a 57% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
I think too many of their critics tried to compare this movie to cinematic masterpieces given Nolan's reputation,
but I mean, it's a comic book movie if you're going there for Oscar performances stay home for fucks sake.
It deserves much more than a 57% so.. please don't let those reviews sway your decision to go see this in a theater.

First off Henry Cavill as Superman was pretty brilliant, I think he fit the role perfectly.
Michael Shannon as Zod also did a great job, pretty much all the main characters fit pretty well.
The movie had Nolan's trademark seriousness and gritty nature, with some slight comedic undertones.
The pacing did feel a bit awkward and at times a little rushed but overall I don't think it was an experience breaker.
Fight scenes and cgi action were awesome, especially the battles against Zod's army.
I think critics are judging this movie based on the lack of fun factor, which past Superman titles presented,
and even the comic books did, but again this is Christopher Nolan and Zack Snyder that's just not their style.
The Dark Knight series did extremely well because even in that comic series the tone was very dark,
so the director didn't really have to deviate much from the books there.

Overall I enjoyed the movie and would totally watch a sequel.
The story telling was decent, again the pace could have been executed better,
but you almost forget about that while watching some of the best battles to hit the screen in years.

    TL;DR

Totally worth a watch and think other reviewers are being overly critical

The movie was doing so well with the pre-release showings and early reviews painted it so well. I feel that most newspaper critics are just on the Snyder hating bandwagon. From the overview of RT and Metacritic, I think so many critics look to be missing the point entirely, comparing it to Reeve's Superman. I mean for them that's their source material, none of them really care for the comics and only touch on them to give their review some weight. The comics that this movie is based upon were pretty light on the humour front and all about the action and drama.

I've yet to watch the movie though, but I know what I'm going for, a Superman action flick, and that is exactly what I want.
    THE ABSOLUTE GREATEST

You'll definitely get that dude, like I said the action scenes were top notch.
The storytelling wasn't bad at all either, I just think they could have paced it a little better.
For once in a long time I'm not happy with Rotten Tomatoes reviews at all.

I couldn't agree with you more. The movie was excellent, that ******s over at Rotten Tomatos wanted cheesy Superman, and were mad when they saw epic, serious Superman. (That's not to say that there wasn't points in the movie where I laughed).

I would recommend anyone go see this movie, SO worth the watch.
