What's your point here Arun? Xbox admitting defeat to ps4 and leaving the console war and heading over to a home entertainment league ahead of ps4? In any case it was not there case to start now, the internet is growing along with pc's TV will be the new Nintendo 64 soon.

I'm just saying I think their plan is to become a "home entertainment system," rather than the typical console, hence why all the restrictions. Will it work out for MS? Who knows.

But if you just want a game console just like every other console you have gotten, Xbox One isn't for you, PS4 / WiiU is.

With the Kinect being an optional piece for Xbox 360, and roughly 30% or less of all 360 owners have a Kinect, the market for developers is extremely small. That in mind, if Microsoft pushes the Kinect 2.0 with EVERY Xbox One, that opens up the entire market for developers.

Microsoft is simply trying to get more developers to experiment with this new technology. You can't hate them for that.

Living room transformation. We want to own the living room. Every living room TV with an XBox on input one. It's the thing that gives the signal to your TV, everything is secondary. The future, where games, TV, internet telephony, all that shit happens magically on some huge ass screen with hand / voice gestures... That's our goal.

Guys like who? Microsoft employees? The ability to turn these features off is not hypothetical. I'd like to know where you're getting these "facts." How everyone is getting so upset about the possibility of being monitored and/or tracked by the Xbox One is absurd, since nearly every American surrounds themselves with potential monitoring devices on a daily basis; one being your personal cell phone, followed by your computer. This holds true to every device with a microphone and camera connected, as they can be controlled if compromised remotely.

As said before, the console can turn completely OFF, and you can disable generally all of the Kinect's features if you're so inclined. The Xbox One's standby mode is not very different from the current-gen Xbox 360. It's obviously still sucking power, waiting for the radio signal from your controller as input to power on the device. Instead of the physical action of pressing the guide button on your controller, you now simply have to voice "Xbox on" for the same result.

Since PRISM. I'm just mad, because they fucked up my favorite console, and I have no excuse to be an Xbox fanboy anymore. I know that we're being observed at all times.
