It's a mailing list. They've been "working" on HL3 for eons now. The minute Ep 2 was done was probably when they made that ml. Shit I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't social mailings lists either, a lot companies in the entertainment industry make ironic mailing lists and shit like that.
