And if you guys thought Linux and shit was immune to viruses, try Solaris

no viruses made for it yet.
Just because you can't see or have yet to notice them, or at all.
    Doesn't mean they're not there

Have you seen the trend of viruses over time?

Most of the viruses that are active are not so much trojans or worms, but they are just typical ransomware that asks for money.

Once again, if you browse safely, 99% of the time you'll be fine. I don't go on many sites, though most of them are Japanese technology sites and blogs and programming stuff like that. If a hacker really wants to hijack a site that gets maybe 2000 viewers a day he obviously has some of his priorities wrong.

Not to mention there are barely any viruses that came from Japan in the whole span of computers. So if a a hacker wants to hijack a foreign site he probably also has his priorities wrong

Been using MalwareBytes for a little over a month. Still using it actually. Never really used any other AV except for AVG, and it sucked ass.

Well, if it works for you it works for you.
I'll have to recommend you to try NOD32 though.

I don't really feel like switching AV programs. Plus, I got a free license key to MalwareBytes, so I basically got the PRO edition for free.

Well, it's entirely up to you.
I'm not paying for my license, I'm fooling their servers instead.

Hell yeah. Never pay for any programs. I just google the license key and get a working one in less than 30 minutes.

I don't even Google it, it's all automatized.
If I had more money I'd pay though - I feel it's done good now and money is the treat.
    Although I'm not that wealthy.

Been using norton for 3 years straight. Very good AV though its heavy as FUCK. Not reccomended for old pc's/netbooks. Anyways I dumped it since I figured that its no longer needed. All I do is download games/movies from trusted scources and browse safe websites. Running with no AV for about a year now, downloaded malwarebytes just to scan once, said im clean, uninstalled.

I was using AVG for a while. Changed to ESET after Dave recommended it to me.
