So I'm trying to grow a beard and have like a 5 o'clock shadow.. but its not growing right.. Its growing in patches and barely comes in.. i can grow a goatee fine.. i wish it was just a lil bit darker maybe..

I heard if i start shaving everyday it will start growing and fill in the patches and spots.. even when i don't needa shave, Is this true or not? and is there any other tips on growing facial hair easier and faster?

It's a myth .
It doesn't grow faster in any way, proper diet makes it grow more or less.
Only thing shaving does is make the outcome "thicker" due to it having it's supple tip cut off.

its like when you trim dead branches off a plant. it takes less work to just regrow a new branch then to try to keep a dying one alive.

Shaving everyday will only put you farther back. Our bodies don't adapt our hair growth to outside conditions, it's a rather unchangeable constant. I'd suggest just waiting a while and seeing what happens. Everyone's facial hair grows at different speeds.

I get a nice red goatee pretty fast and the rest grows kinda slow too but I've always shaved and trimmed so i don't know how well mine would grow out.
