Cracking Rez Files (via text editor)

IF whitten reads this. can u send me that rez packer of urs( if it works)?
ill like to play around with my combat arms. This is a discovery to a whole new modding section let along maybe another new game. Something out of halo maybe to make combat arms a lot more exciting

ok so this is whats going on:
1. you can unpack the rez files to get all the other files in them as stated here - https://www.mpgh.net/forum/184-combat...tml#post971508

2. theres ways you can edit *** with the photoshop plugin that dosent work for me, because the *** converrter dosent work for me

3. when u edit them you can see the changes ingame for yourself only but the prob is after you change them and save them you need to replace them with the original ones then repack all the files back in the rez replacing the old one and DONE

the prob is no one has a rez repacker which can repack all the files because winrez is updated for it, somehow there is youtube videos with modded guns so they found a way but no tuts from them cuz their gay.

only answer must be lithtech tools tht can repack but i havent tried

could you maybe upload a video tut on how to do this? :P i get open it with notepad, but as i try changing the weapon to a AK or some other weapon, it doesn't work, and i start over.

Where do I get "text editor" from?

notepad .exe, anything that can open a text? LAWL i got all fo that, i cna edit the files and stuff, but i just don't know what to move, witch is why im asking for a simple tut. XD

nope, all txt file (appearrently called attribute files) are encrypted in some way and no notepad or text processor can open them.

These attribute files are used to change the speed of ur movement, the scope zoom in size. and every client sided options but will not work unless the person/ people ur playing with has the same attributes. you'll get d/ced if ur doesnt match others or the defaults.

EDIT: Should have finished reading this thread, now I know that .TXT files opened with notepad = Useless. Whatever, Ill still work on it.

EDIT EDIT: I read something about there being a .DAT file named Rapidstream, possibly an unreleased map. Popped open Worlds.rez and changed the name of JUNK_FLEA.dat to RAPIDSTREAM.dat, and vice-versa, then Injected it into WORLDS.rez. Sadly, when it was finished loading Junk Flea ingame, it went back to the lobby and said "Connection had been Lost." Anybody got any help?

I did this a few weeks ago yeah and it doesnt work as your game version/files is different to others, therefore ull disconnect.

Rapidstream=Powersurge
