Gaming Headsets?

Anyone know any good gaming headsets? ex. Turtle Beaches
I'm looking for something that'll give good sound, bass-boosted (love dat music shit), and a mic that's high quality for the PC.
But I'm also looking for something that's around $50 max it's okay if it's a bit over that :P
So far I'm looking at this: Turtle Beach, Inc. - Ear Force X12 Recertified
Anyone try using this before? How good is it? Anyone have any other suggestions?

Turtle Beaches are over rated. Look for some unknown brand. They offer similar quality for lower prices...

Astro's are really expensive. Since I console game a lot I decided to put some money into good equipment. So far im loving them.

I'm tell you man, the Siberia V2s are really awesome gaming headsets with nice music qualities too. $80 - $100 is not that bad for a gaming headset & since we're talking about the Siberia V2s, I would say its considered cheap.

If you want, go spend like $200-$300 on the Astros.

Cons
Turtle Beach Ear Force Z6A uses 3.5 mm jacks but also requires a USB for power.

Fun as hell to sound whore in games really easy to tell if people are under, behind, and above you. Also the only headset I had that last over a year.

'bass boosted' is something done with an equalizer and actually has nothing to do with the head phones, if you are looking for a headphone with a decent low end quality sound the price tends to be a bit higher

No, earphones/headphones come with that feature and you can use an equalizer to strengthen it even more. Simply try using normal apple earphones and compare the bass to Beats earphones and you'll understand.
