There isn't much difference between animals and humans, people just can't get a hold of the concept of eating humans.

That arguement is invalid, animals aren't intelligent enough to adapt to situations such as starvation. [Some are] Animals are in a way programmed to do something, they do it and don't do anything else. Humans on the other hand are much smarter and will adapt, even if it means eating each other.

IMHO, if you're about to die of starvation, you would resort to cannibalism. You might say you'd never do that, but you will when hunger takes over.

Of course there's little to no demand for it when the entire thought is abolished by everyone, not only everyone - but the government too.
I remember, not too long ago people didn't think the earth was round and everyone who did, got killed, spiked, stoned or burnt for being a witch.
So even deeming my idea as stupid, even by your own standards, is pretty stupid.

As there is little to no proof of it ever being harmful to anything else than prude minds to keep your self-satisfaction that humans are better than everyone at top.

Honestly, I think the idea of selling human flesh is pretty much impossible or really unlikely to happen.. At least for 50 years. People might just try it to see the taste (curious rich people) but once the idea hits that we're eating human flesh. That thought is just really sickening because you don't know where they human has been, what diseases they've had, have drugs entered their system? Etc. I'm sure cannibalism is happening daily around the world, just I highly doubt it'll become popular, legal, and high demanding.

You don't know where wild animals we hunt have been either, such as elk, boar or the like.
And quite honestly, I think it might not even start in the rich end of town, it might end up there, but not start.

Sharks, dolphins, polar bears, grizzly bears, spiders, hamsters, wasps, chickens and salamanders.
And if you feed them it, pigs, cows (that's how mad cow disease started basically) and almost every single pet.
