Hmm dead island does have nice graphics the main thing you would need for a game like that would be a good graphics card and a decent processor.

CPU power wise I'm fine, good RAM decent processor. my GPU is shit tho, it doesn't support anything over DX10.1 or DX11.0.

I have an ATI AMD Radeon 2400 pro, most games require a Radeon 3600+ series, but as I recently learned I can run a few of those games on med/high with no FPS issues.

I have a P5K Deluxe Mobo, an E6850 CPU (currently @ 3.48 GHz), an NVIDIA GTX 480 (with 1.5 GB of VRAM), 8 GB of RAM and I seem to be able to play most games pretty well so all I'm saying is that more or less you shouldn't 'have' to spend more then 500$ for a good PC (not including a good graphics card which I would either go with a GTX 480, 780, or a Titan due to the other graphics cards are not really worth getting unless you get 1 or 2 non-reference ASUS GTX 670's with 4 GB of VRAM each) that can handle a lot of graphic intensive games. I happen to be going with getting a new 990FX Sabertooth Motherboard and an AMD 8350 CPU (which in my opinion are the best for what you can buy right now for people on a low budget) and I'll be doing dual SLI setup with Dual NVIDIA GTX 480's but you guys may have different opinions so I thought I'd just swing by this post and try to open some eyes to possible choices
