C++ And Visual Basics Tutorial Vote

Right as its been pointed out several times in the form of diggs at jetamay
there are no "basic" c++ tutorials on mpgh, most tutorials are far to advance for the common member or they are tutorials for specefic applications which i my experence is not the way to learn.

Im going to write a large tutorial on the total basics of c++ and programming, all you will be required is the ability to read english.

The first installment of my tutorial will be based around the goal of completeing a simple aplication using all of the features of c++ explained
    in the tutoial.

You have one of two options for the application i will base this around, either a textbased game, in the style of the battles in pokemon and simular shitty games where you pick an attack see its effect then cpu attacks. with the features of advancing to harder cpu players increasing you att or def stats

or a mathmatics application which will include the following

    calculator
    Area of square
    Area of circle
    Area of triangle
    Volume of a rectangular prism
    Volume of a triangular prism
    Volume of a sphere
    pythagoras theorem

    and prbly
    volume of custom sided shape
    area of custom sided shape

i think it should be math's app and dave recommends it aswell
however i know this is a gaming website and people were intrested in toymakers game tuts.

    now vb

would you like a tut on a

    advance web browser
basic login system (checks against one password)
advance login system (checks against usernames in C:\user.txt and passwords in pass.txt)
    some kind of fail game

    Ehh.
I'd really be intersted in a tut for basic C++ , making a simple game. But if making the maths app is better todo for educational reasons, then i'm cool with that.
