Hand's down. Windows 7 - Less crashes, more compatible programs and it isn't designed for fucking tablets.

I don't see how people are saying that Windows 8 is slow. I've been using it since it was in RTM and it works absolutely fine with no issues.

Cuz when I open google chrome I can't install adblock extension. There are no button to install it, also when open the youtube site it's always crashing.

I don't like the Win8 design and overall interface, seems like a tablet/phone OS to me.
So Win7 gets a +1 from me.

If you're getting a black screen or crashing on YouTube, go to Chrome's Advanced Settings and disable hardware acceleration. As for AdBlockPlus not installing, I have no idea, it works absolutely fine for me.

Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with support for PAE, NX, and SSE2

Pentium 3 does not support the SSE2 instruction set or the NX processor bit. He wouldn't even be able to install it.

I haven't used it myself but my friends have serious problems trying to play Call of Duty 4, Windows 8 is installed on my sister's PC though, I'm not saying it's bad, but it's not good enough for now, till there are enough compatible applications with it.

As far as I know, changing the compatibility settings should be enough to make it work. I am in no way saying that Windows 8 is better than Windows 7 but it drives me insane when people say all this shit about its stability when it's fine. Windows 8.1 is coming sometime soon and will hopefully address some things.

If they fix most/all of the bugs that are annoying I'll be happy to test it out again and until that I won't be using Windows 8 again. It's not that stable tbh. I keep getting crashes to desktop then it shuts down for no reason.

I'm basing my opinion off:

I have had this OS on my old & new PC. I downgraded INSTANTLY on my old, and now im on holidays and my USB is at home and I cant downgrade, why Did I downgrade? Windows 8 sucked for gaming for me, or at least windows 7 was less intensive for my PC, both new and old. I did a test, and in windows 7 on DayZ: 50fps ( Lowest settings ). Windows 8 DayZ: [ NOT JOKING ] 15fps Again lowest settings, same with minecraft and some other games, and not to mention things are buggy as shit, like for example the whole loading time, of playing a video on the damn metro, and then when i open it with media player it comes up instantly, but I can't play it like that, because if I play one video, the next one has a server execution error, which stops happening after around 20mins. This happened on both, new, old and my dads PC. And alot of things are not comaptable with it. In my opinion, it is NOT an OS I myself will use. Maybe, as you said, it's the drivers, but I did update them all, and it did nothing to my performance, note: My PC is as slow as it was the first day, not because of corrupt files etc. Just my opinion.

Windows 7 a lot easier to use. I bet they made Windows 8 so shit because they need something to show that they have improved on if they keep making it better and better no one will buy there newest OS if it basically has no problems.
