Does anyone know a way to spawn mobs/animals?

I hate having to adventure out to find rare mobs to fight, and would love to just be able to spawn one to fight, anyone know a way?

No, I'd like to spawn something I could fight, I know I can spawn pets. I want to be able to spawn a Saurian or an ogre, ect.
