It is broken (Most likely fractured if anything). A fraction in the bone is technically broken. Trust me it hurts like a bitch, and it swelled up, and you can definitely see where the break/fracture was located.

This morning i took my ghetto cast off and showed my mom how fucked up the bone look and she was like "Well shit.... yeah you broke your hand you dumbass, we'll have to go to the clinic.." lol.. life sucks. You can't break a hand because it has so many bones. You would need to break the majority of bones in it to "break your hand." You just broke maybe 1 or 2 bones if anything.
