    Alright

    So I'm going to college starting monday, and I need a new laptop. I'm looking to spend around 600-700 bucks for a good laptop, my major is computer science so I'm going to be doing a lot of coding on it for long periods of time. So, can anybody help me look? I'm looking at MSI right now but they're expensive af and I don't have the cash for that right now.

    It doesn't have to be a gaming PC, i just need something that can dual boot linux, handle visual studio, and has a decent battery life

    +1. Been using an Asus laptop for four years now, very reliable brand. To run VS smoothly I'd say you'd need =>4GB RAM, 500GB HDD, i5 processor.
