Although my job is pretty tough on the body, and its never fun (crawling attics, crawling under houses which is what i did this week) the one part I love is the money


Just landed a cool 3 grand. For the hours I put in, I was making about $178 an hour.

General labor. Can do plumbing, electrician, carpentry, heavy machinery, tile/carpet/hardwood floors, a painter. Basically whatever you need done
going to get trained for HVAC (heating ventilation and cooling) as an actual gig soon tho, if this interview goes well

The way it works, is someone asks us to do a job. We give them a bid, or how much we are going to charge them. They can either take it or see if anyone will go lower. The bid includes hours, materials used, what the job includes, ect.. And extra stuff we do along the way we charge them for, but small stuff is only like a $20 thing.
Instead of my dad paying an extra guy to work for him, I just do it for him. Usually dont get paid when I do 2-3 days of work so he can finish a job out quick and get the paycheck. When I'm actually on the job he just gives me a cut, and i can pretty much bug him into buying me things. He's been hinting at what kind of cars I like lately

If I was actually getting the money myself, I would too. Usually only get like $3-400 for 4-5 days of work since hes the one actually getting the jobs.
But I've been getting my own gigs lately, painting and what not and that I get to keep all of it

I sometimes go weeks without so much as a landscaping gig, same as my dad
some times we will make 20grand in a month, and with our luck won't get another job for a month or so. the market is actually picking up a bit, last few years have been really rough in this business
