Anybody got any advice on the Sat? Im taking it this year.

My advice is to get a good night's sleep, you'll regret it if you don't.

Study the fuck up, and take your time.

Don't know a question, skip it. Come back to it later. Make sure not to get caught up on one or two questions you know.

Other than that, don't panic. You can always re-take it if you fuck up.

I forgot about the SAT... shit, I need to take that. Yeah, study and a good night's sleep. Plus you need a good breakfast to get your brain going. And be confident about it.

@chen5298 I received a 2140 out of 2400. The math is geometry and basic algebra. You HAVE to read the English comprehension inside and out. It is filled with TRICK QUESTIONS. Read a question and the portion of the passage at LEAST four times before you answer it,

what about the essay part

Essay Part there's a formula by TestMasters to help you.
You can get a 10 out of 12 every time.

Dunno, but I think you also need to study a little vocab and read carefully on the SAT reading. Don't over think and infer, because the SAT is looking for exactly what's stated in the passage, don't "think" that something is there when it's not.

what about the essay part

Use big words and over-answer the question. If the essay is a passage about a boy giving away a balloon to a little girl who is a total bitch then the meaning behind the essay is the coming into manhood and growing up, so then you write some bullshit on how this essay is going to "change everything" and make it sound fancy as fuck.

Fuck minimum limits. Set your OWN minimum limit. Get an Ivy league score. I want you to get a 1960 MINIMUM on this SAT.

Remember, you can just study English and only take the English portion and not the Math (do not fill in any answers), then take it again but this time only take the Math. The grade is accumulative, but do not take it more than three times, three is the maximum amount of times you can take the SAT before colleges are told how many times you took it. That's how I helped a friend of mine pass with a 1900 even, he was not a test person, yet extremely smart. He took the SAT three separate times. The first time he only did the reading comprehension. The second it was all Essays. The third it was all Math.

Meh, I hate writing. It's so incredibly cumbersome on my eyes that I end up getting pissed and using it to make a campfire.
