This is just a tutorial on how to record with fraps (the best way on Minecraft or any other game of your choice). Fraps is probably one of the best programs used for recording and often costs around $40.00 but here you get it for free.

This was uploaded for people who don't have fraps, don't know how to torrent/download it and for people who don't trust other downloads or torrents.

Last time I used fraps my FPS went from 40 to 9...
Needless to say, while it's output is HQ I still do not like it due to the fact the average user will have their FPS tanked.

You might want to try to change the options, like recording halfsize, or change the fps limit that fraps records. You probably knew this already, but thats the only way i can think of. Maybe just get a better PC? I use fraps too, and dont get any lagg, but i have quite a good pc.

There's no problem now. I was mostly talking about my old semi-decent computer. It could run Unreal 3 at 50 FPS, but would run FRAPS and minecraft at 2...

One problem I have with Fraps is the enormous file size :/ Although my computer memory is quite small, haha. I hear Dxtory is basically the same as Fraps?

Well , yes! Dxtory is same with Fraps . After you recorded the video , the file is as large as you record the video with fraps.
I recommend using Bandicam. Bandicam is my ALL-TIME-FAVOURITE RECORDING PROGRAM.

yeah.. Fraps do kinda suck and is overrated due to its simplicity and the fact that it is a "legit" program; you need to pay; pay for quality and aesthetics. On the same note, lots of people don't like using free un-rated software - same arg as above except they think its... A virus.. Or is harmful, or just the aesthetics and quality dont please them.
