STILL ALIVE!
because of donald trump :3
Most people know "I" is referring to their god.
That's not an argument. If a god "says" they will severely punish disbelievers for eternity after they die, they should not be worshipped.
Why would an almighty creator have to use fear as a tactic to get people to follow them?
Well I guess it would work like some sort of kingdom, if someone has made people and pretty much "owns them". Provides everything that the person might need to live and survive on the planet so he can test them for the world after. (common phrase I've heard, but I don't clearly know why yet.) It wouldn't make sense for that person to simply not believe and follow what this person has done, so it would lead to a punishment. (well i don't know why this is either, but it's an idea.)
nice.

The thing is, with a kingdom you can actually see the king (or person in power) and notice the changes they make. Why would a king hide away and do everything in secret so other "fake kingdoms" (other religions) rise and become popular and people begin to believe in less and less over time? Wouldn't it make sense for them to just show themselves or do something so we know who is the real king that should be followed?
I'd leave more than an ancient book about who I am and what you should do if you follow me if I was the one who created existence itself.
