What The Best Antivirus????

Ok, I have been an freeware Avast users for 2 years now. I am happy

with it. I willing to pay for Anti-Viruses or Security Suites, I don't mind the

price. I wondering and asking you fellows of MPGH members to help me

decide on the best AVs or SS, I am an experience computer user so the

ease-of-use doesn't bother me. Also tell me what work really good with the software =)


What I am looking for:

An Awesome and the Best Database

High-Detection Rate (More the Better)

Guards from Viruses, Worms, Malicious Software, Spy-ware, ETC. (More the better)

Real-Time Protection

Light on the system (Less is Better)

Protection from Rook-Its

Daily Updates (Automatic would be Best)

Options, or Full of Features

Least False Positives

Strong Firewall

Spam Blocker (Not that important)

Options to speed-up my system (Not that important, I got some already)

The Least Issues or Compatibility

Other protection would be great



I always hear Kaspersky is good, or Norton. But some of my friends recommend me Bit-defender or NOD32 4. So tell me about your opinion and experience. It would really help and thx!

Avast! owns man really, im not jking im using it XD it saved me from alot viruses. im using it for few years now.

Seriously, it is fine.
You can pirate Avast! Pro but an average home user wouldn't need it.
Besides, the Avast guys are awesome for making such a good AV free.

Exactly! I never saw such a great free Antivirus. It is like a paid version of all good AVs out there, even better. I also have Home edition.

Don't ask me XD I meant it save me from some dangerous viruses. Not alot ofcourse because im not a retard XD
