How to win a debate for Islam.

Since the muslims of mpgh desperately need to learn how to debate, let me provide you a guide.

First off: Statistics. Learn how to read them. Use them to your advantage.
Secondly: Do not involve your beliefs for an argument involving statistics. Saying "not all muslims are terrorist" because you believe they aren't real muslims isn't proving anything.
Third: Get credible sources. Google is your friend here, but don't rely on the word of some guy on his blog, get research data.

Alright, hard parts over. Lets take each argument that can be easily won with a simple statistic showing.

1. Not all muslims are terrorist.
- This will require 2 stats.

Put the amount of muslims(somewhere around 2billion people.).
Put the amount of muslim extremist(terrorist).

Thats it. This proves any argument 100%.
NOTE: Do not give percent until given full amount of terrorist as well.
NOTE: You are going to want to(if possible) use the same source.

Put the amount of known terrorist.
Put the amount of known Islamic extremist.
NOTE: Do not put misleading information[more below]

Ok due to another poster(bengali), I feel the need to explain statistics to you.

Take this chart:



This chart has 2 things:
1. The names of terrorist organizations.
2. The percentage of said terrorist to the whole.

What this chart does not have, is a title or linking information(present). Which means you need to follow a link to view what this chart is explaining. Let me explain how dangerous this is.

Now we can take that Islamic extremist only make up 6% of the total terrorist amount from this pie chart.(assuming the data backs it up, which it does not in this case).

Now this pie chart shows the amount of terrorist attacks(by quantity). As you can see Islam only meets 6% of the quantity of attacks. This is actually what the pie chart is for, the quantity of attacks.

Ok now you know that in the US Islamic extremist only make up 6% of the total terrorist attacks.(from this timeframe).

What you still don't know is: Deathcount.

Quantity of attacks isn't really important so much as amount of people killed. Killing 1 or 2 people in a hundred bombings is not as killing thousands with one bombing.


Just as people overreact about muslims being terrorist, you must also remember to not overreact about statistics that seemingly point in your favor, because they may end up biting you in the ass.

TBH, the numbers of people killed means nothing. Because given an OPPURTUNITY any one of those groups would like to kill the MOST. Just because a certain category gets lucky and hits a goldmine of death, doesn't make it any less dangerous.

Ask a Muslim Extremist how many Christians/Jews he wants to kill. He would say "all of them" if he could.

Ask a KKK member how many Blacks he wants to kill. He would say "all of them" if he could.


So your logic is flawed to concentrate on the population that does less attacks. Matter of fact, you would want to concentrate on the group that has done the most attacks. Each of those groups if given the OPPURTUNITY will kill the most people.

You also need to realize what counts as "terrorist" activities, what scale the attacks are on, and what actually happened.

Making the assumption that every terrorist wants to kill everyone is a very odd stereotype, because in this case and scenario, people didn't die a lot of these attacks. Most of these "terrorist" aren't really out there for blood either, because there are a lot better ways to do that honestly. However, loss of human life should always be looked at first imo, as that is generally what tells people how serious they are and how much of "threat" they represent.
