If you can get your hands on 8.1 that's even better. People hate Windows 8 because they have a hard time accepting change (coughconservativescough), but it really is a great OS. It's much more efficient at handling things, has a much higher quality of life feel. The only thing different is the new start menu, and I for one love it. People who were using the Windows button before had no problem adjusting, you hit it and it still brings up the start menu.
Not to mention it's so easy to use too. Can't find something? Press the Windows button to bring up the start menu, and just start typing. It will instantly search for you, it's just that easy.
10/10 would upgrade, especially if you can get your hands on 8.1
