The anime covers 8 volumes, right now there's a total of 11 volumes. Unless they are going to make 12 episode adaption of volumes 9-11, I assume they'll wait for the manga to get further in before making the anime.

Anyway, SNK has no second season planned atm. Its about 50% chance. The story doesn't have enough as is, its a summer hit, so basically it will be forgotten by next summer.

Unless there is an announcement by the next year, I doubt it.

Some people checked how long to writing from chapter to chapter was and till which chapter the anime came so how long it take to make that amount of chapters and the results were in about 1 year

They could make a short anime (12 eps) covering the latest volumes which I would definitely do considering all the money they are bringing in. AOT has been dominating anime/manga rankings in Japan for a couple of months now so a second season is guaranteed, but it'll be a while before we get any confirmed info.
