It's not a strain, I guess the way to put it is, in cannabis, the active ingredients are THC and CBD for the most part, the THC gets you high. With spice, instead of THC, the active ingredient that gets you high is JWH-018, it is a synthetic Cannabinoid, where as THC is a natural Cannabinoid. They both bind to the fat of the butter the same with small variations that are minuscule at best so you can use an existing recipe, just substitute the spice in for the ganja.

It's getting very legal in the US, state-wise. The national government still classifies it as a drug but states are legalizing it quite rapidly now-adays. Hopefully it will be legal in Ohio soon so I can get in on it.
