Do you pay for your internet? If so, and if you play online games with it... You effectively pay to play online.
The money you spend results in the ability to play online. I do not see where the confusion is.

I would say the PS4 is the way to go this time. Graphics comparisons don't show much of a difference, and same goes for the benchmarking (depends on the game), however Microsoft wouldn't have spent all of the money to develop the region blocking, used game share blocking, etc. and simply remove it. It's pretty much a given that eventually Microsoft will slowly re-implement those "features" (limitations) back onto the XBone.

Im pretty sure Xbone is going to slowly be gimped by devs in the graphical department. With GDDR5 in the PS4 the chip pretty much runs like a 7870 and with optimization can be on par with a 7950. But with XBone, despite having the same chip, using DDR3 for VRAM it might as well be a 7750. There isn't much difference now, but once devs get into the swing of things the design of the hardware in the PS4 will really start to shine in comparison to the XBone. It will be like comparing a PC to console except the PS4 will be able to show off as well.

Oh I completely agree. My favorite feature by far is the PS4's ability to be shut down in the middle of a game, and when turned on it will seamlessly open that exact point in the game.
