Post What graphics card should I get?

Hello, I've been in a stand-still on what graphics card I should get AMD or Nvidia. I've been thinking either a Gtx 670 2-way sli or AMD Radeon 7850 2-way crossfire? Could someone help me chose?
    Thank you
Brilliant...We should start at once....Oh wait, that's a stupid idea

    It depends on your budget.
I consider SLI much better than Crossfire in terms or reliability and performance so i would go for the dual 670's

We cannot answer you without knowing what your processor is capable of,mostly a single gpu solution is better without micro-stuttering issues.
Thank me if i helped you

Usually a single GPU in the same price range as two of those will outperform and be more reliable. The r9 280x, HD7970, and GTX 770 are all good cards in the $300ish range.

I cant really say that The 280X is a good buy when you can get a 7970 for alot cheaper that performs on par.
Give us a budget and this is alot easier.

I think the reason the 280x is recommended is because of the new architecture and the futureproofability. In real world tests though they should perform about the same since they are enthusiest cards.

Thing is that it runs on the old architecture. Unless you get one of the new series of 280X's.
The 7970 and 280X that are out atm is the exact same card if you look at texture units etc.
The only difference on the new 280X's is they drag a little less power but performance is the same.

Ah alright thanks for the clarification. Maybe I was thinking of a different card.

My processor i am going with is a i7 3770K but im thinking, seeing all the 760's frame rate tests i think ill go 2 way sli gtx 760. I want to be playing certain games on high settings and what not. Thinking of doing water cooling but i don't know yet about water cooling...

If your going down the path of NVIDIA and planning to do some water cooling, I would recommend getting EVGA branded NVIDIA cards as they are apparently easier to work with when creating loops and attaching water blocks.

Also, if you do go with the 760 you will lose out in the long run so saving up a few extra quid for the 770s is much more worth while.
