Age limit is 13+ for the entire site. There are specific threads with warnings for 18+ only content which may be in them.

That's the best that it'll get to. Anyone from the age of 13 will have access to all the open sections.

18+ Thread content will be marked appropriately, and that's all that it'll be at.

I don't know if this is a "suggestion" or just looking for opinions so I'll leave it open.

that's the problem which occurs when opening a forum, you can't just make a change because you 'feel like it'. You need to run through all rules, make sure It's balanced, check all possible errors which can pop up, etc. Enforcing an age would be stupid. A post count restriction however? Would definitely get rid of this problem.

But it's not going to work. I don't feel safer because of the NY SAFE ACT. It's just words on paper that there's no hope of enforcing, making my life more difficult. Imposing an age limit is the same exact thing. I guarantee you that an age limit will do nothing to clean up general. Want to clean up general? Stay active and post quality content.
