Here's a tip. Make a video of doing it yourself and then he can see what's wrong. Or I can if he doesn't see it before me.

if you changed it in CE click the background button again but don't select a new one so it updates and you can see the change

hei guys i did something totally nooby. i have no experience with ce, i wanted to have the mw2 ghost mask but this happened

i couldn'T find row 52 to enter the number, so i tried to look for it. the problem was that i pressed enter to get one row further. i did that 30 times. after that i maximized my game and i have no bg emblem classloadout chracter name and ingame i can't modify a thing. here's a screenshot.

so i figured nearly everything out myself by trying and changing values and backchanging . except 1 thing. (my playerpatch is a circle but the playercard(bg and patch) is a rectangle, so the rest of the rectangle not covered by the bg or patch has this typical(chessfield with blue and brown squares)

look at the bytes near the bg/patch and try setting them to 00

Sometimes you indeed get an invisible head. I fixed it by binding a hotkey in CE (adjust value with +1) and went up the list until I got the mask I want

Thanks heaps mate, went headless for a second but now everything works a treat first time using CE not hard to do.
just wondering can I use the same process for the gun camos I tried myself but no values would flash when I alt tabbed.
