The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

I really cannot wait for this movie to come out. After watching "An Unexpected Journey" and enjoying every minute of it, I can't wait for this next installment. I was left on the edge of my seat when watching the first one, and when it reached the end I was still ready for another hour or two but instead I got credits.

What are your guys thoughts on the first one and how do you expect the next movie to be? Personally I think it should be interesting as this was my view of "An Unexpected Journey".

Nor did I. But after the movie I was hooked. Thinking about getting the book but then again, I hate books.

    Meh didn't like the hobbit.

LOTR was indeed a good movie series. It was something that felt really nice. Like a well made thought-of movie.

The Hobbit just seemed like a space filler. Showing dudes walking around and talking about stories.

Expected to see the dragon in the first movie, yet it just showed a tease.

I still liked it, being a fan of Tolkein's work, just that it felt like this movie was just merely for the money.

I understand what you are sayin bro, But i have to disagree, LOTR was wayyyyyy to long.. 4 movies 4 hours long.. cmon.. The hobbit is about the back story of LOTR i thought?

please tell me if im wrong, i never got into LOTR, way to long kept falling asleep.

LOTR was detailed. It was very similar as possible to the book, which is why no one really questioned it. It was on of it's greatest works of art during it's own time.

The Hobbit is just like any other movie.
