The only problem with those is they are ugly as fuck. Beats are visually appealing and that's mostly why they sell.

Beats are ugly as shit, they look like Chinese dollar-store headphones.

I bought a pair of Sony MDRZX100W's last year and they get the job done. It was $40. The only downside is that they are not noise cancelling, so it may be very unappealing to people when they use it since it does not have that feature.

I tried Beats, but honestly there are better headphones out there. So I believe it is not worth the money. I am being subjective... But hey... What can you do?

Anyways, I recommend that you get yourself a pair of Sennheiser HD 201s. I've tried them out and honestly they're great. They're $50 here. The quality is great, it has noise cancelling, it doesn't look unappealing (subjective, you might think differently), etc. I found them to be way better than Beats, however the final decision is up to you.
