What will you be using it for?
For gaming/commercial use or recording/rendering? or both?

Go for Set 1 but replace the 770 with a 290, then if you need to you'll be able to xFire it. The G43 only supports Corssfire, not SLI.

I would go for set 2
the 9590 would outperform the 4670k anyday in terms of gaming.
Sound and temperature might be a problem with set 2 as the 290 is extremely loud and its designed to run at 95C. (Hopefully this doesnt affect your homework)
The 290 outperforms the 770 as well so definately set 2

For completely maxing out games, maybe around 2-3 years but these parts will last you longer as long as you're prepared to lower the settings in a few years time.

After them 2-3 years couldn't I crossfire 2 290s to keep playing games at ultra/high?

If you want to play constantly at 60 FPS then yeah, you'll want to Crossfire it in a year or so.

Well thats good then but tbh i dont really care about having 60fps constantly il only care if it goes like 30 below since thats when the game gets really unplayable
