It was done before , I'm not sure if it was him or another MM. He scammed a scammer who scammed someone , and gave back the account to it's original owner .
So yeah I wouldn't say this is a scam.

I think you were referring to me. Back then, it was under the supervision of Dave so it could happen.
It wasn't my idea, so all I did was follow orders from Dave.
If Maxedout was trying to do the same, the best option would have been to have a higher authority monitor it so the evidence would be there.
That way none if the current stuff would have happened and a bunch of idiots would not reply to the thread and give hateful comments when everything is all a misunderstanding.

Scamming a scammer makes you no different than the scammer, but scamming a scammer under the supervision, with approval and given orders is fine.
As long as you have that protection for yourself.

Honestly, after all contribution max puts, he makes a mistake. And because of that mistake, the whole world turns against him. What does that even mean? Have you guys forgotten all the contribution he is done? Let's say you make a lot of effort into doing something but you make a mistake. Does that mean I can hate you for that mistake? That is not the mature way to handle it. Is everybody perfect? More importantly, can anyone be perfect? We will ALWAYS choose the good road, or sometimes the bad ones, but if you learn from your mistakes, why can't we also learn to forgive and forget. And to be honest, the case of him scamming someone has NOTHING to do with majority of the people here who posted hate comments towards Max. Just leave him alone and remember him as a good Middleman. If you simply can't do that and decide to post hate, just leave

This is what I wanted to say/part of what I said to him over Skype. You explained it better. I tried to convince him to keep the position but he no longer wants to do it & it will always be his decision.
