I worded that horribly wrong. Go into the DayZ PBO's (/<dayzroot>/Addons/) extract the pbo and open up the config.cpp with Notepad++. Google Regular Expression and you will find information on how to properly use it.

How might one go about 'extracting' said PBO files? I tried with WinRAR and it said the file was broken. The other issue is that now WinRAR is the default program that PBO files open in. Any advice?

It will be practical if you understand scripting, helped me a lot. Doubt Rain will spoon feed you though so you'll have to figure it out on your own.

As far as I know, there's no way to spawn items in the standalone due to the new system.
