Drop the Intel, pick up an FX 8320. Cheaper, and heaps more powerful.
Course you'd have to pick up an AM3+ board though.
If I have enough money by the end of today then I will be thinking of buying some PC parts as apart of boxing day sales etc.
Can someone have a look at these parts and tell me what you think of them

Please tell me if those parts are good or if I need to swap anything out. So far its around $1190 (maybe a bit more due to GST.) My budget is $1250, maybe $1300 if I have to. This is my first time doing stuff like this
@Ethereal, @Aborted and @Doc can you guys tell me what you think?

You were seeking strength, justice, splendour.
You were seeking love.
Here is the pit, here is your pit.
Its name is Silence..
Agree with aborted here. try to save on parts so you can get a better gpu. the 270x is great for it's price but try to get a 280x and you will see a big performance increase.
Swap out my current CPU and Motherboard with these:
CPU - PB Tech - CPUAMD8320 : AMD FX-8320 New Vishera Eight-Core AM3+ CPU , 3.5Ghz ( Turbo speeds of up to 4.0Ghz) , 125 Watts TDP , incorporate DDR3 memory controller with 1866 MHz data rate
Motherboard - PB Tech - MBDGBM1065 : Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P AMD 760G mATX Socket AM3+ Dual Channel DDR3-1333 RAID VGA/DVI Dual Output Support
???
Added up the price and it came to $1173.43NZD which is a great price for me I might buy those parts in the next couple of days or so.

I would try to get a higher end motherboard. There is some quite bad things with that one.
1. no sata 6Gb/s which will slow down disc read quite alot
2. only one pci-e port which means that you won't be able to use crossfire in the future.
3. Only supports one system fan. you will want more unless you plan to get a fan controller.
4. only two ram slots. if you want more then 8 gigs of ram you will need to buy very expensive 8 gig sticks.
5. no usb 3.0 which for some doesn't matter but for others is a huge loss.
pc part picker is a really good place, not sure why MPGH has it blacklisted....

Save yourself time and get this (or cheaper one) and put your OS on it. I wish I did.
Also: AMD goes beyond Intel so spend an extra $70 on an AMD AM3 mother board and get yourself an 8-core
Your signature has been removed due to excessive homosexuality.
I'm the worst when it comes to computer building/parts.
The only reason you should ever pick up a intel cpu, is only if you are really going to overclock the cpu and or editing and rendering videos.
Otherwise AMD is very good just for gaming as it is a lot cheaper and does have a faster stock clock then most intels.

Nope not now a days.
Games are starting to use AMD a lot more then intel does.
You would be spending a lot of money on buying the cpu and spend less on buying other components.
What would you rather have a $500+ cpu with components that are under $100 that don't last you even 2 years?
Lets not forget you need atleast water cooling just to get the i5 above 4.0ghz.
I myself would go the AMD path and buy a AMD FX 8320 and save over $200, also most games like BF4 run better with AMD. (Which is what they made the game run great with, especially at E3)
Well you don't have to take those websites, just find parts similar to those.
Also the prices would still be $300-$500 cheaper with a AMD build than a Intel build.
