Mechanical keyboard pinging

I got a Corsair K70 with red switches as my first Mech keyboard and I noticed an extremly annoying pinging noises. Especially the spacebar. This happens with some other keys but it isnt as loud as the spacebar but it is still very annoying and loud. Does this go away with time? Is it normal?

Hard to say. You should check a video review on your keyboard. Mechanical are just loud in general.

red switches are not loud.

maybe the keyboard is defect,get one key out and check if the noise stays when u press the switch..maybe mechanical keyboards just aint for u.

Clearly stupid,there is only 1 kind of red switch and its not loud you ******,stop writing shit if you dont know your facts.

Actually Red switches bottom out faster than the other switches so depending on how heavy you type they can sound even louder than Blue switches. Doesn't help that the actual actuation point is far lower than the release point. I know it's not the problem OP was having but saying that Red switches aren't loud is highly subjective.

As I said, it depends on the switch. Implying that red are not that loud. Regardless; Still pretty loud. but okay guy.

Also there are Cherry MX Red with o rings, which dampen noise, so no. There is not only one type of switch.
