What my train of thought behind this was, as it is still in warranty and they have agreed to take it and repair it or whatever they do - I figured.
After more or less having to sit for several hours bouncing around their poor customer support with their default responses to everything and the feeling of hopelessness you get when you have to talk with the retards on their end that barely knows English and then get bounced around some more.
I said, well fuck this.
Not only will they not replace the game THEIR device broke (I say this because I cannot without breaking their EULA, modify my XBOX to have a proper and working DVD-Drive without being banned from XBL or the like), they made it a real hassle, they wasted a shitton of my time and I wont have it.
So that being said I thought to myself, well, since the drive is shotty (what a surprise), then maybe I can get a completely new device instead and keep the old one and possibly flash/chip or mod it to my liking and be able to play pirated games on it and then have the new one to play online if I ever felt like it, or just sell the old one to have a fund for a rainy day.
Still hanging in there?
Summing it up, two xboxes are better than one, if I can get another one and keep the old one and flash it to play pirated games, that'd be great. Mkay.
If I don't keep it, I can sell the other one off for money.
I don't think I need to develop this thought any further, a light should have gone up for the rest of you.

As for the warranty, it's connected to an account, connected to a serial that can be found on the back of a device.
Not sure if the devices are branded, so sending a broken one back in a box, even with my sticker, might not work.
