Is it wrong for me to be mad?

My boss has been putting me through training to become Assistant Manager for 3 months, Every day. Yesterday I was supposed to finish and get the job, but apparently he gives the job to some guy who knows not how to do anything. Apparently my boss is going to, "Tutor him while on the job.".

There is no need to get mad about it, just go to your boss and talk to him in a polite manner, don't show any signs of sadness or madness, and then, just take our your knife, and simply stab him about twenty to thirty times in the neck, and then walk away like nothing happened.

I'd actually ask him why the other individual got the promotion over you, and what you can improve on to better your chances in the future. You get an answer as to why, and it shows you have ambition, win-win.

It's not that I do not have ambition, and the reason is that he is a good friend of my bosses and he knows his potential. I personally do not get mad, and since I am a cynical person, I just brush it off like it never mattered but my gf said I should be fuming. It was a dollar raise and could have helped me, but I am getting that exact pay raise a month from tomorrow.

I know my boss is not an asshole, we share laughs when I superglue my desk-neighbors stapler and shit to his desk, and he knows I get things gone in advance. I know I am ready for a more challenging task, but if he thinks that guy with no qualifications can do the job, as long as he does it I cannot complain. Can't do my job if he cannot do his.

Nono, I know my boss on a personal level and even helped keep his marriage intact. (Facade anyone? ) He cannot afford to make a mistake, so this new guy must have something under the belt that I just don't have. He said it was not me, and that one of the other assistants is quitting soon so I can have that spot.

I am not annoyed that he did not give me the job exactly; I am annoyed he just never decided to tell me until the day I finished training.

No, but tomorrow I plan to. Even if it is small, I have finished a weeks worth of work so I am free to study up.
