Samsung are really good and not that expensive, but if you're looking for something cheap scandisk.

if i where you i wouldn't entirely replace the hard drive with the ssd.
You will see how quickly you lose space.
You can just set the SSD as your boot drive and have any games on the HDD.

In terms of SSD's. I've only used Samsung ones... They have good software and reliable drives.

    Either one of these.

    https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Electr...ds=samsung+840
    https://www.amazon.com/Kingston-Digit...ston+240gb+ssd

I personally love Kingston more than Samsung, but I use samsung because of the reliability.

i think i am going to go for a Samsung SSD, im just not sure about model and what not, whats the different with some of the SSD's that have the same size, brand, and almost same model, like the 840 vs 840pro??

also i have a 3TB external HD, so i just plan on replacing my 1TB, plus my GF wants a 1TB drive cause she keeps running out of space....so i gotta give her the 1TB xD

I would stick with Samsung, I've had bad experiences with other brands. Generally the Pro has higher benchmarks but both are very close in performance. I would base my decision on prices. Good luck with the SSD.

In case you didn't already buy something.
Put your OS and games on it. Keep videos, music, pretty much everything else including other programs that you don't mind taking a second longer to load on your HHD. It's good to trim the volume of your SSD by 10%, and then after that have 30+% empty space for best performance.

As of 9/17, I will be away for a few days due to medical reasons. Should be back up soon. Please refer to a GM or other mods in whatever particular section you need help with.
