2 Virus Scans for text files? This is 2014 people

So over in the DayZ/Arma section, poor scripters must still virus scan text files twice before being approved.

I don't want to sit and argue but plenty of other hack sites have amended their rules. As a result, they get far more releases (on average) than mpgh.

up to you guys at the end of the day but pushing content creators away from mpgh seems to be the norm in the dayz/arma section atm.

Your rules actually says that 2 virus scans are needed "when applicable" but there is still a zero tolerance policy on scripts without virus scans.

EDIT: thx for a swift response by the way. im not giving the mod a hard time in the A3 section, im sure he is just covering since no minion for A3. but it would be nice if someone could put my thread back? it was called "giant flying cock of doom"

I can kinda see why he wanted virus scans. Next time just upload the single text file. for RAR files you do need scans. It doesn't really matter what's in it lol. Rules are rules. If you upload just the text file though then scans aren't needed... So... Yea...

I usually approve straight up text files (most of them being virus scans anyways), but imo RARs should always be scanned no matter whats in it.

If the text file is uploaded directly as a text file, they aren't really needed.

If the text files are archived (rar, zip) then two scans are required. It doesn't matter what's inside them. As soon as they are archived, two scans are required.

I believe i tried to upload .sqf and it said i cannot upload that filetype, so i opted for .rar instead of .txt file. In future i will use .txt

My problem, after i uploaded, i removed the file from my computer, so it was not possible for me to scan, i explained this to Bernard in PM but he removed it anyway...

Sorry for mentioning people but this a beyond a joke now. @bernard sent me a PM today asking still for virus scan (that guy loves virus scans, one day i must become author and write a whole book full of virus scans, and i will dedicate the book to him)

2. its a screen shot showing what happens when you run the script, what more do u want?
3. ive triple checked, has no outside link.
4. I asked Hero and he put the thread back for me (it had been removed already) so why am i only now being infracted?

Quite frankly, just remove the thread, if you guys really don't want my script then i don't care either. But giving me an infraction? wow, new low.
