Thinking about waking into the future

I'm thinking about giving my body to cryogenics in hopes that someday I shall be reawakened in the future. What would you guys do? Btw this is NOT a troll.

What in the name of...Why not just live in the now lol. Maybe do it after you retire and have nothing to look forward to. Travel the world and do stuff first lol, the world may not be as beautiful as it is in the future. With all the pollution and environmental damage the Earth may look like shit a few hundred years from now. (If you survive in cryogenics that long.)

I don't want to awake in the future old lol. I wanna be young and still able to get around without being in much pain. Me and my girlfriend were talking about doing it together.

Why the fuck are you guys being dicks? This is actually a good discussion.

No, I wouldn't like to wake up 200 years later. I mean Egyptians had that idea but they believed in the superstitious part of it(they believed their bodies would be revived in the future and so they preserved their carcasses as mummies), which is why they didn't freeze the body.

Heck I can't wait to leave the world right now, why would I want to live 200 more years xD?

You realize that in order to freeze your ass,you have to die first, literally you can't be frozen until you are declared dead.

This is why the idea is still being researched. They are hoping to figure out a way to resuscitate you once you are in cryostasis.

The only problem would be the money, this technology might cost thousands or even millions in which case only a few percent of the population could be brought back to life.

Well generally this technology will be used in space travel.

It can be used to keep human bodies' age the same throughout space travel as some trips can be pretty long. Like dozens of years.

There's more than one use for cryostasis and yes I see what you're saying.

I'm sure though that 50 years or even 25 after cryostasis is invented it will be readily available to the general public.

Well, the general public with money lol. You gotta be able to pay for the materials, the service, and when they take you out of cryostasis.

I'd freeze myself for a few decades and do it all for the technology. I'll be able to get laid by virtual lolis and play inside Battlefield 9. It'd be a god damn dream come true.

I made that prediction because it's what happened with pretty much every technology we have today.

Starts off expensive and limited to the rich, and then the corporate world decides it wants to make money off of it

There's still one problem,if you are frozen ,your brain has to be shut down, then reanimated after being cryogenically frozen, but would you be the same person or just a clone with the same memories?
