Well considering this one fight took two years to make in the manga(and it's not very good or finished yet), get ready for a ton of flashbacks.

Literally every 2/3 of the chapters involve very unimportant talking or a flashback. There is almost a flashback for every instance of the fight as well.

Naruto's one of those anime that everyone drops eventually.

It just reaches that point where every fan is like "wellp instead of waiting the next 2 months for the filler to stop, i think i'll spend 2 hours of my time, get caught up on the manga and be a good 1-2 years ahead storywise from the anime."

Then you can just read 5minutes every week and be continually ahead and just watch the fights in the anime.(which I personally gave up on after the pein fight, since that was awful in the anime).

I really hate to say this, I dont like to judge other peoples taste, especially on animes, but sometimes I cant avoid it.

Here, Naruto(the shippuden series) is for mentally retarded people, because instead of continuing the main story it starts going to fillers almost after the series start. In fact I watched like 30-40 episodes after beggining the Shippuden series and there was really low progress on the main story. I quit. I wont watch naruto again, no matter how good or how much the story has progressed now. I could say this happened to all big shounen but Naruto has the worst case. In fact I say: "There's a bit of story on your filler" to you naruto fans.

The Classic Naruto before Shippuden was pretty good, I remember too when the show was about ninjas and now they can fly and cast spells and shit. They look more like wizards and stuff rather than ninjas now.
