best way to put mp3s on iPhone?

So I finally got an iPhone. It's a 5c. I obviously dont want to buy music I want to put regular mp3s on the phone. With and Android it was easy I just drag and drop butt this stupid thing wont let me, I refuse to download itunes, I found a program called MediaMonkey but haven't installed it yet. Any advice?

Drag and drop your downloaded mp3's into itunes and then drag it from itunes to your phone :v

Honestly, I don't like it and prefer Spotify these days, but the whole reason and main selling point of the iPhone was the App Store. Ever since Android got their shit together and had their store expanded with more and more, there's been absolutely no reason to be in Apple's closed system if you have a choice of phones.

Lets say you download a song from somewhere and you put it on your iphone. Unless iphones now only support DRM songs then there should be no problem. If iphone wont let any music except DRM on there then throw it away.

Set your phone to Manually manage music and videos. Then just simply drag and drop songs onto your phone.
