I live in Virginia. Gay culture is confusing... we're pretty prejudice against our own kind. Here are a few examples of gays not getting along:

-Sometimes men prefer other men to be "straight acting"
-The whole chaser / admirer bull (weight related segregation)
-Racial junk
-Top / bottom
-Bears v. other bears
-Twinks v. everyone else
-Drag queens v. people with sticks up their butt

What gays are you forming your opinions off? Go to a gay club (or a local pride event) sometime and just observe. Oh, and whether or not you're gay or not you might get a few free beers from creepy ******s. Yay. From my experience, there seems to be a pretty even divide of faggy queens : Ron Swansons.

My philosophy is that the more you can relate to women, the more they will want you. For example, if I know more about clothing, long hair, etc, the more inclined they are to have more conversations with me = more relationships
