I buy new key for 12 bucks only, more cheaper then a couple of beers and with right tool more fun then get high.

So i'm try to get it work w/out vpn, anyway if you make copy of previously ghosts (region free) and start from that executable will not change lang. version. After the game start and fletch stats disconect VPN from ru server, now you will able to play with low ping and no lags

steam will check your connection so will be little tricky but yes you can play legit.

You need to do the following steps:

1. Google for temporary mail and copy the mail adress
2. Google for "vpn trial" and past mail adress then follow instruction
3. chooce udp for modem setting or instal Openvpn and download "conf" paste it into openvpn folder
4. Start vpn connect to ru srvr and start steam
5. Start ghosts then after receive stats close vpn.

Point 1 to 3 need when you wanna play, expire after 24h. Following point 4 & 5 all the time you wanna start ghosts ( in the 24 hours).

If you can trick in another way steam udp connection check to get "token" for ghosts let me know

I found out a new VPN client that allow you connect to free of charge server, will load server list and use different protocol.
Suitable for people that want cheap game to test tools or play legit.

Point 1 to 3 of the above post are useless now, i don't know if i can upload the client here, anyway is open sorce project and is easy to find through google searching "VPN gate" and you can easy find tutorial on how to use.

Some tips:

Sometimes you may find your IP address slow. There is a simple fix.

Open a command prompt CMD

1.. Type ipconfig/release and press enter

2.. Then type ipconfig/renew and press enter

You now have a new IP Address

Now try connecting with your VPN, you should notice a difference

Close unnecesary proces like microsoft update and acrobat updater maybe with game booster, after launch Ghosts play 1 round then disconect and close client. You can use different server, some of then not allow P2P 'cause are free and your nat type in game will result moderate, change server looking the port that it use. List of server that you can use: Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova

Kinda late for this but I know this works with Arma 3.
If you want to be able to play w/o a VPN:
1. On steam click + ADD GAME
2. Add a non steam game
3. Browse
4. Browse to your Call of Duty Ghosts directory and add the .exe file
5. Launch Ghosts from the new steam shortcut
I am not certain this will work but it works for Arma 3 and Arma 2 OA

That's a different case. In Ghosts you get blocked from playing at all if you're not actually Russian if I'm not mistaken.

Or just have someone from Russia activate your game. It's much safer with that route.
