guys i want to take down a thread what do i do to cancel it or delete it

It is not, and since some sections do not have staff listed or users do not know how to see the staff responsible for that section, people end up mentioning higher staff. I am sure reporting works best for them.

As they stated above, contact one of the mod's of the section. You can't manually delete it yourself.
