The first one sounded so damn good until he started screaming. The second one was just a clusterfuck.

I honestly find it to be more beautiful once the harsh vocals come in, it's pure, raw, unrestrained emotion. It's a bit hard to explain to someone who isn't used to screams yet, but trust me it's some beautiful stuff once you can stand it. It's one of the only ways to really convey the proper feeling, the hatred, the agony, the sorrow. Singing simply doesn't cut it, and there's a hold world of music fantastic music you're missing out on.

I'm starting to find that particularly true as of late. I honestly used to think that metal was absolute trash and I was boggled at how people listened to it. But really it just takes some time to get used to. We're too soft, too used to the soft voices of the singers singing into our ears all day. So when our ears are assaulted with different music, we're confused and we dismiss it.

This first happened to me with 90s hip hop. I used to listen to pop/rock. You know, your average every day rock songs. But then I got into hip hop and at first I was like wtf. But I gave it a chance and after a few weeks of worshiping 2pac, I was hooked to rap.

Tad bit of screaming right in the middle, mostly instrumentals with some clean vocals.
