    Help with CPU upgrade

So I have this motherboard: https://www.ascendtech.us/emachines-m...acet11610.aspx
With this CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 235e

And I want to get a quad-core upgrade, so I was wondering if this is the best I can get:

    Motherboard:
    https://www.tigerdirec*****m/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7736064&CatId=7375&
    CPU:https://www.tigerdirec*****m/applicati...04&CatId=1946&

    Total price: $148.26

    Money I have available: $152.45

If there is a better one please, feel free to tell/link me.

    Thank you!

If you're going to do any upgrades i suggest getting a better board. The fact that it only supports 4GB of DDR2 is kinda sad in itself.

There's not much room for upgrading with a board as outdated as that.
AM3+ is your best option for a CPU socket.

Keep in mind if you switch motherboards you will also have to buy new RAM since DDR2 and DDR3 are not compatible.

Name brand boards are usually better too.
A bit over budged but something like:
    https://www.tigerdirec*****m/applicati...809&CatId=7245
    or
    https://www.tigerdirec*****m/applicati...653&CatId=7375

I'd also suggest an MSI but the one im on right now has broken 2 times so im not too sure anymore...
