It was pretty obvious they were just using their own generator to get the codes. There's no way he could've stolen THAT many PAX codes all those years back to be able to consistently sell hundreds of them every week. Just a smart guy that beat their system.

Yeah, then spreading the method led to Riot inevitably stopping this.

What I don't get is how out of all the skinshops this method spread to, none of them dropped the price on PAX TF hard to generate way more revenue. Or the prices for all the skins for that matter. Honestly the respect they had for each other and not trying to one-up the other shops is extremely respectable imo. That kind of business practice is almost never seen in the real world.

I'm just glad I got PAX Jax and PAX Sivir when I did. I was wondering why the dude was selling them so cheap, when I asked him if he was going to take a picture of the card for me and he said no I assumed the $20 was going to go down the drain. Still amazed the codes worked, really glad Riot didn't revoke all the falsely-generated skins. Guess they didn't want to screw the guy over TOO badly.

Some shops did go as low as $150 for PAX TF. I'm pretty sure they were making enough profits, as AjeyCS made around $300k.
