Special Frames

I'm pretty new to LoL and was interested in learning about the Frames/Special Ribbons people get around their character frame. Can someone explain them to me? Like the difference between the red/green ribbons and what you have to gain to get them etc.

There are 4 different "ribbons" - friendly (blue), helpful (yellow), teamwork (green), and honorable (red).

You earn the ribbons by receiving "honor" at the end of a game at the results screen.

I'd like to mention though honor is completely irrelevant nowadays, as once you hit level 30 ribbons are pretty much nonexistent.

There's no set number. You need to be honored in enough games out of how many games you've played (basically a percentage) to reach the threshold of receiving a ribbon.

Yep. If you don't maintain that certain percentage of honors, the ribbon will be removed.

Sure thing. Though as you level, more and more players just ignore the honor system completely.

They are called borders. When you reach level 30 you have to play 10 games, so you can set up your division. There are 7 kind of divisions: Unranked, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinium, Diamond and Challenger. Btw nice Avatar xD

At the end of each season you receive a border according to your ranking. (You have to be level 30 to play ranked).
